In 2024, the MRC de Papineau celebrated a major milestone: the 350th anniversary of the granting of the seigneury of Petite-Nation. This anniversary was the ideal opportunity to highlight, in words and images, the history and identity that still shape this unique territory today.

The result is the "Au fil de l'histoire" series, 24 captivating vignettes written by Marie Josée Bourgeois and Marthe Lemery. These stories take us back in time, from the passage of the first French tourists to the Weskarinis, to the know-how of our talented "gosseux". Each vignette reveals a unique facet of our heritage and invites us to rediscover the treasures that have forged the soul of the region.

Immerse yourself in this historic adventure, and be inspired by the wealth of stories that tell the story of the region's evolution with sensitivity and passion.
