Western loop - 87 km
Cycl-O Route de la Rivière Outaouais
This section of the Papineau MRC is very popular with road bike enthusiasts. Part of the Route Verte, cyclists can explore the Cycl-O-route. In Petite Nation, the 87 km western loop starts in Thurso, passes through Parc National de Plaisance, passes through Papineauville, famous for its many shops, and ends in Montebello, a well-known tourist village. In Montebello, you'll discover the famous Château, the chocolate museum, and a variety of accommodation and restaurants. To complete this loop, take the ferry from Thurso or Fassett to Ontario and follow the Ottawa River.

Montebello Mountain Bike
Montebello Vélo de Montagne offers a 20 km network of trails for all levels of cyclists on the historic lands of patriot Louis-Joseph Papineau. Enjoy breathtaking views and unique landscapes, accessible and affordable for the whole family. The trails start at the Fairmont Le Château Montebello, offering a unique opportunity to stay in the world's largest log building and go hiking right from your room.
Parc des Montagnes Noires de Ripon
Ripon's Parc des Montagnes Noires offers many kilometers of trails for mountain bikers. The park also features a bikepark with wooden modules for developing various cycling skills, suitable for ages 8 and up. Bike rentals are available on site through Traction-Nation.
Maskinongé Recreation Park
Discover nearly 20 kilometers of trails in Lac-des-Plages at Parc récréatif de la Maskinongé, where nature is at its best. The trails start next to the cemetery, offering a picturesque adventure.
Gravel bike
La Petite Nation is full of hidden treasures on its many gravel roads. Get out your gravel bike and discover these picturesque paths clearly identified on the region's tourist map.
Family cycling
Plaisance National Park
Parc National de Plaisance's bike trails are a real gem. With nearly 40 km of trails along the Ottawa River and through a variety of habitats, this park offers a unique experience. Rentals are available, and children 17 and under can take advantage of free family bikes.
Louis-Joseph-Papineau trail
This 10 km cycling route, from Saint-André-Avellin to Saint-Sixte, is perfect for intermediate cyclists. Covered in rock dust, it offers varied landscapes and magnificent panoramic views.
In Duhamel
This 20 km round-trip gravel-paved bike path follows the former rail line of the famous La Singer sewing machine company. Start your adventure at the Centre Touristique du Lac-Simon or Carrefour Duhamellois, where bike rentals are available.
