A promising hunting season

To all hunters, we wish you an excellent 2025 season, rich in adventure and memorable moments. Between the hunting zones and the Réserve faunique Papineau-Labelle (RFPL), the territory abounds in opportunities to practice your passion. And if you want to extend your wilderness experience, think of the many outfitters in Petite Nation.

Zone 10, Hunting seasons 2025

Moose with antlers (10 cm or more)

Crossbow and bow: September 20 to 28, October 25 to 29
Muzzle-loading weapons: October 25 to 29
Firearms: prohibited in this zone

White-tailed deer with antlers (7 cm or more)

Crossbow and bow: October 4 to 17, October 18 to 22, November 8 to 23
Muzzle-loading weapons: October 18 to 22, November 8 to 23
Rifle: November 8 to 23
Rifles: October 18 to 22, November 8 to 23

Réserve faunique Papineau-Labelle, periods 2025

It is forbidden to walk in the Reserve during this period unless you have a permit issued by the RFPL.

September 15 to October 2: moose
October 3 to 9: moose/deer combo
October 27 to November 15: White-tailed deer

Hiking and hunting: living together safely

fall is also the perfect season for hiking and enjoying the flamboyant colors. For a harmonious cohabitation between walkers and hunters:

Check dates and restrictions before you leave.
Wear bright colors.
Keep your pets on a leash.
⚠️ On La Route des Zingues, during the Réserve faunique Papineau Labelle hunting season, stay in section P1-P2 only.
