Nature, creation, and lifestyle
Ripon charms visitors with its balance of nature, culture, and local initiatives, in a peaceful and inspiring environment. The Parc des Montagnes de Ripon is one of the municipality's major attractions. Hiking, mountain biking, fat biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing are all available in this vast forested area. Mont Grand Pic leads to a lookout and observation tower offering a 360-degree panoramic view.
The Coopérative de Solidarité Place du Marché is a real hub for food and culture. From May to October, the market comes alive every Saturday morning, and the rest of the year, a varied program of events brings the place to life, including Market Fridays. The Café des Orties, located at the Manoir de Ripon, offers a friendly break focused on local and organic products, with cultural events. To extend the experience, theAuberge Montagne Noire offers cozy lodging with eight rooms where you can sleep soundly. The place also encourages socializing with a bar, a pool table, and a program of themed evenings, including karaoke nights. For a different kind of break, the Centre de vie offers accommodation in nature, a sauna, and a holistic clinic using natural approaches. Ripon is also a place of creation thanks to theSolart Art Gallery Workshop, founded by multidisciplinary artist Michelle Lemire.
In terms of agritourism, the Domaine Mont Vézeau offers tastings, a vineyard, and a strawberry farm, while the Ferme aux Colibris focuses on certified organic vegetables, fruits, and flowers. For meat lovers, Ferme Moreau rounds out the gourmet offerings. In September, the flagship event Ripon Trad brings the village to life with traditional music.
