This summer promises to be full of discoveries, new encounters, and wonderful stories to share.
This year, Létycia and Alicia are hitting the road as mobile tourist information officers. Their mission: to meet the people who bring our region to life, introduce you to iconic spots, highlight some of its lesser-known gems, and inspire you for your upcoming summer outings.
Throughout the summer, they’ll be sharing original content on Tourisme Petite Nation social media channels Tourisme Petite Nation videos, interviews, activity suggestions, profiles of local entrepreneurs, getaway ideas, and moments captured on the ground. Their goal is simple: to help you discover the region in a new light, through the eyes of two curious, dynamic young women who are proud of their home.
Létycia is back this year as a mobile tourist information officer and marketing intern. After completing her first year of a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on marketing, she returns with even more knowledge of digital communication. She hopes to continue creating professional videos that give a voice to entrepreneurs and highlight the region’s attractions. This year, she’d also like to add a lighter, more fun touch with Alicia by creating vlog-style videos that offer a behind-the-scenes look at the work of a tourist information representative. Her thorough knowledge of the area, her energy, and her enthusiasm make her an excellent person to guide and advise visitors.
Alicia, 18, lives in Ripon and is studying Social Work at the Cégep de l’Outaouais. By working as a tourist information clerk, she hopes to get to know the place where she’s lived since she was a little girl better, so she can share her discoveries with visitors and locals alike. Naturally curious, she’s eager to explore new places, discover areas she hasn’t seen yet, and take a fresh look at the region. Her team spirit and open-mindedness will also allow her to collaborate with Létycia in a pleasant, creative, and inspiring environment.
Whether you’re a tourist, a local, or simply looking for ideas to enjoy the summer, follow Létycia and Alicia as they travel the roads of Petite Nation. You’ll discover places to explore, events you won’t want to miss, passionate entrepreneurs, and maybe even some spots you didn’t know existed.
