Duhamel, if history were told to you
The municipality of Duhamel is a true adventure playground where history and nature meet. Renowned for its national trails, La Route des Zingues and the Iroquois National Trail, it invites you to immerse yourself in the heart of a fascinating natural and cultural heritage. As you walk along these trails, you will discover breathtaking landscapes while exploring the stories that have shaped the region.
In the center of the village, let yourself be surprised by the Au Fil de l’eau interpretive trail, a unique route highlighting local history and surrounding wildlife. You will find in situ works on the theme of Peuples des bois(People of the Woods), as well as interpretive panels detailing the history of the village and the emblematic presence of deer. In winter, Duhamel becomes a prime observation spot, as these deer take over the municipality, nestled in the heart of an important deer habitat.

Discover the Agricola farm!
Between May and October, the Agricola cooperative farm opens its doors for you to immerse yourself in its organic produce stand and fertile fields. Enjoy a free, self-guided tour of this committed farm, where you can see where and how your vegetables are grown.
An ideal family activity that allows you to explore the world of organic farming while discovering different crops thanks to descriptive panels scattered throughout the site. A great opportunity to better understand the sustainable practices that feed the community, while enjoying a peaceful natural setting.
The First Nations Trail
The unmissable Omega Park invites you to explore its First Nations Trail, an immersive walk where the history and culture of Quebec's 11 First Nations come to life. Along the way, admire majestic totem poles carved by an Indigenous artist, vibrant witnesses to ancestral traditions and knowledge.
During your walk, keep your eyes peeled: wild deer may well cross your path. They will approach you curiously for a few carrots!

Papineauville, a living heritage
Papineauville invites you to discover an enchanting resort town steeped in rich history. In an atmosphere of peace and pride, the municipality invites you to a true encounter with its history, closely linked to one of Quebec's most illustrious families, the Papineaus. Its heritage tour will allow you to explore this rich heritage through the village's most notable sites.
History also blends with artistic creation in Papineauville. In the summer of 2023, the municipality hosted the Symposium d’art in situ, under the theme Imaginer, semer, récolter(Imagine, Sow, Harvest). Since then, seven works of art have enriched the village’s artistic heritage and blend harmoniously into its landscape. These works are installed in front of Sainte-Angélique Church, in Moulin-Seigneurial Park, Henri-Bourassa Park, and Place Bonhomme, inviting residents and visitors to take a cultural stroll through the streets and public spaces.
Lac-Simon: Immerse yourself in history and nature
The municipality of Lac-Simon invites visitors to immerse themselves in its fascinating history thanks to interpretive panels installed at the marina, revealing the secrets of Lake Simon and its heritage.
For adventure and discovery enthusiasts, an excursion on the Canard Blanc Island Historical Interpretation Trail is a must. This immersive trail, dotted with informative signs, traces local history while offering a special connection with nature. In summer, docks on the east and west sides provide easy access for visitors. From there, a trail leads to Lac des Étoiles, where an inviting rest stop allows you to fully enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.

Montebello: A journey through time
The Montebello Heritage Trailinvites you on a journey back in time, where the history of this iconic village remains alive. Through 25 houses and buildings of remarkable historical significance, you will discover the traces left by those who shaped the village of Montebello. Interpretation panels are located in front of each site, offering an enriching glimpse into its past.
Various themes will guide you along the route, highlighting the significant events, influential figures, and areas of interest that have contributed to making Montebello a proud and dynamic community.

The Lièvre Trail in Val-des-Bois
Treat yourself to a walk through a beautiful pine forest along the Lièvre River, on a trail accessible to beginners. With adjustable routes ranging from 1 to 4 km, this nature getaway invites you to explore and contemplate. Along the way, you'll be surprised by eight works of art created in 2019 by professional artists, inspired by the theme "The Energy of the Lièvre." An experience combining the outdoors and culture, ideal for a rejuvenating and inspiring walk!
