Louis-Joseph-Papineau trail
Activities
A four-season journey through landscapes and panoramas
In summer, the Parcours Louis-Joseph-Papineau is best explored by bike, on a 20-km round-trip loop between Saint-André-Avellin and Saint-Sixte. Covered in rock dust, this ten-kilometre linear trail is accessible from behind the Auberge Petite-Nation, at 35, rue Principale. Recommended for intermediate cyclists, the trail features a variety of landscapes, from wooded to open fields and hills.
In winter, the scenery is transformed: snowshoeing and cross-country skiing make way for a 25 km network of winter loops. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and a generally generous snowfall, perfect for an invigorating nature outing.
Two lookouts line the route, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Whether you go there to challenge yourself or simply to contemplate, it's a rendezvous with the raw beauty of the Petite Nation.
Please note that the trail is closed in the Saint-Sixte area during the big game hunting season.
Open year-round. In winter, depending on slope conditions.
