*During the “big game” hunting season, it is prohibited to drive in the section located within the Réserve Faunique Papineau-Labelle unless you have a permit issued by the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve —from P3 to P8 on Route des Zingues Chasse 2025

Set out to explore the Route des Zingues, an exceptional trail in Petite Nation that winds its way through lakes, mountain peaks, and ancient forests. Designated a National Trail since 2011, this immersive route connects the southern shore of Lake Gagnon to Lake Marie-Lefranc, with extensions currently under construction all the way to the Laurentians!
Each section has its own share of treasures: panoramic views, lookout points, secluded beaches, intriguing rock formations, and even a cable raft to cross the Preston River! Whether you hike Mount Kajakokanak, Trou-Malin Pass, Sisyphus Rock, or the Lynn Trail, you’re sure to be amazed.
The trail was built entirely by passionate volunteers, with a focus on respecting nature. Several loops allow you to customize your hike, whether you’re looking for a leisurely stroll or a more athletic challenge. Map in hand and boots on your feet, we’re sending you off on a hike… along the Route des Zingues!
*In winter, the trail is accessible on snowshoes
