Imagine, sow, harvest

In the summer of 2023, Papineauville hosted the Symposium d'art in situ under the theme Imaginer, semer, récolter. The seven works are well established in the heart of the village, in front of Sainte-Angélique l'église and in the Moulin-Seigneurial park, where you can admire: Ce que l'on sème, by Laurence Petit, Semence, by Jonathan Bouchard (Jobi) and La dame aux oiseaux, by Martine-Carole Gagnon. In Henri-Bourassa Park: Michael Kinghorn's Spirale matic, Denis Charrette's J'ai la tête en gigue and Éric Lapointe's anamorphic sculpture Semer, s'aimer. Finally, on Place Bonhomme: Confettis de joie, by Hélène Béland-Robert.

The seven new works of public art bequeathed to the municipality of Papineauville now enrich the public art trail that the Centre d'action culturelle en Petite Nation has been developing since 2013, thanks to the collaboration of the host municipalities, the generosity of the artists and the support of the MRC de Papineau, among others.

Art and artists enrich our living environments and contribute to the attractiveness of our territory. The Centre is proud to make art accessible in rural areas, and to showcase the work of professional artists from the region and across Quebec.
