Papineauville - Public Art
Imagine, sow, harvest
In the summer of 2023, Papineauville hosted the Site-Specific Art Symposium under the theme“Imagine, Sow, Reap.” The seven works are prominently displayed in the heart of the village in front of Sainte-Angélique Church and in Moulin-Seigneurial Park, where you can admire:*Ce que l’on sème* by Laurence Petit,*Semence* by Jonathan Bouchard (Jobi), and*La dame aux oiseaux* by Martine-Carole Gagnon. At Henri-Bourassa Park:*Spirale matic* by Michael Kinghorn;*J’ai la tête en gigue*by Denis Charrette; and*Semer, s’aimer*, the anamorphic sculpture by Éric Lapointe. Finally, at Place Bonhomme:*Confettis de joie* by Hélène Béland-Robert. The seven new public artworks bequeathed to the municipality of Papineauville now enrich the public art trail that the Centre d’action culturelle en Petite Nation has been developing since 2013, thanks to the collaboration of the host municipalities, the generosity of the artists, and the support of the Papineau RCM, among others. Art and artists enrich our living environments and contribute to the appeal of our region. The Centre is proud to make art accessible in rural areas and to promote the work of professional artists from the region and across Quebec.
