Parc national de Plaisance
Activities
A landscape of water, wildlife and wide-open spaces
Plaisance, a name that evokes the gentle beauty of a landscape dotted with bays, ponds and marshes. In spring, the park comes alive with the spectacular sight of thousands of Canada geese stopping here during their migration. When summer arrives, the area becomes a true paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. Ducks, herons, ospreys and dozens of other bird species thrive in this rich and protected environment.
Plaisance National Park covers more than 28 km² of protected land along the Ottawa River. The soft breeze that ripples through the grasses of the Petite Presqu’île, near the campground, adds to the peaceful charm of the surroundings.
Visitors can explore over 40 km of cycling trails and more than 6 km of hiking trails, ideal for discovering the diversity of the park’s natural habitats. For those wishing to extend their stay, the park also offers several accommodation options, including 150 campsites, three yurts and 27 ready-to-camp units.
A perfect destination to slow down, observe nature and fully enjoy the remarkable landscapes of the region.
