Diving into the heart of an ancient forest
Located in the territories of Mulgrave-et-Derry, Mayo, and Saint-Sixte, the réserve écologique de la Forêt-la-Blanche 2,052 hectares. A true natural gem, it protects one of the last ancient forests in southern Quebec. Explore 12.5 km of rustic trails, accessible year-round, and discover majestic trees, some of which are over 400 years old. The experience is enriched by 33 educational panels that reveal the secrets of this unique ecosystem, its fauna, flora, and life cycles. An ideal place to recharge your batteries, learn, and marvel at the wonders of nature. The center's hall can also be rented for your activities.

In summer, the forest transforms into a green sanctuary teeming with life. The trails will take you along sparkling streams and peaceful lakes, perfect for observing rare flora and numerous animal species. Each walk becomes a living lesson in biodiversity, thanks to the educational panels dotted along the route. Whether with family, as a couple, or solo, Forêt-la-Blanche invites you to slow down and contemplate nature in its purest form.
Winter under the magic of snowshoes
When snow covers the tall pine trees and century-old maple trees, the reserve becomes a magical setting. Put on your snowshoes—available free of charge on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—and set off to explore this northern landscape. A fun activity that can be enjoyed with friends or family. The trails are accessible at all times, and the interpretation center, open on weekdays, offers a warm starting point for your winter adventure.
