An immersive journey through waterfalls, forests, and history
This trail, developed with minimal human intervention, immerses you in the heart of wild, unspoiled nature. Starting from the Chemin des Lacs parking lot, the trail follows the Iroquois River and reveals a new natural treasure at every turn. Right at the start, a lookout offers a breathtaking view of spectacular waterfalls, remnants of an old log slide dating back to the logging era.
The trail then follows the stream for several kilometers, dotted with wooden bridges, waterfalls, and perfect spots for a picnic break. Along the way, be sure to check out Jack Wapic Cave and the crystal-clear waters of Lac de la Ferme, which can be seen from the top of a cliff.
Easy to access and of moderate difficulty, the loop trail winds its way to the village of Duhamel, passing along the old Singer railway line. In winter, the landscape transforms, inviting outdoor enthusiasts to explore the trail on snowshoes.
A route that is both peaceful and steeped in history, where nature bears witness to the passage of time.
