An immersive journey through waterfalls, forests, and history
This trail, developed with minimal human intervention, immerses you in the heart of wild and authentic nature. Starting from the Chemin des Lacs parking lot, the route runs along the Iroquois River and reveals a new natural treasure at every turn. Right from the start, a lookout offers a breathtaking view of spectacular waterfalls, remnants of an old log slide dating back to the log driving era.
The trail then follows the stream for several kilometers, punctuated by wooden bridges, waterfalls, and perfect spots for a picnic break. Along the way, marvel at Jack Wapic Cave and the crystal-clear waters of Lac de la Ferme, which can be seen from the top of a cliff.
Easy to access and moderately challenging, the loop trail ends at the village of Duhamel, passing along the old Singer railway line. In winter, the scenery transforms, inviting outdoor enthusiasts to explore the trail on snowshoes.
A peaceful route steeped in history, where nature tells the story of the passage of time.
