Between accessible nature and art inspired by the river
The Sentier du Lièvre a free, beginner-level trail that offers walks ranging from 1 to 4 km through a beautiful pine forest along the Lièvre River. The site also offers several amenities for the whole family, including picnic tables, a playground, ball courts, soccer fields, and volleyball courts, as well as Wi-Fi access.
In Val-des-Bois, the experience is designed to be even more inclusive thanks to the free availability of a Hippocampe wheelchair. Offered by the municipality upon reservation, this adaptive equipment allows people with limited mobility to enjoy the trail and the beauty of the surroundings in a welcoming and accessible environment.
While you're here, be sure to check out “L’énergie de la Lièvre”, an outdoor public art trail located near the community center. Created during a symposium held in 2019, eight original works by professional artists draw inspiration from the Lièvre River, its history, its strength, and its flow. This artistic walk adds a cultural dimension to your outdoor outing and offers a wonderful opportunity to experience Val-des-Bois’s natural and creative heritage in a new way.
