Plaisance - Public Art
Parc des Pierres
At the corner of Principale Street and Chemin des Presqu’îles, Parc des Pierres invites you to take a moment to reflect. Its rest area symbolically points the way to Parc national de Plaisance, represented by snow geese carved into a giant open book.
This stone book, made from sediment extracted from the Baie Noire quarry in Plaisance, serves as a testament to the local geological heritage. In keeping with the conservation ethos of Parc national de Plaisance, the landscaping highlights native plants, thereby preserving the site’s natural character.
A Book of Stone,
an open book,
a prayer
to guide us toward the landmark,
our North Star,
Parc national de Plaisance
