In Petite Nation, Montebello Vélo de Montagne an impressive network of 30 km of trails accessible in both summer and winter. It is the largest fatbike network in the Outaouais region, including Fat Papineau, the longest fatbike trail in Quebec.
Designed for all levels, from families to experienced cyclists, the trails crisscross the historic seigneurial lands of Louis-Joseph Papineau, in a natural setting that is both majestic and surprising.
Each outing offers its own set of discoveries: spectacular views of the Ottawa River, passing under a cave, dense forests of century-old pine trees, and encounters with a thousand-year-old monolith. The experience takes place in an authentic atmosphere, led by a team of mountain biking enthusiasts who are proud to promote a site that has been a pioneer in the sport in Quebec since the 1980s.
The reception pavilion, rental center, and main parking lot are located directly at Fairmont Le Château Montebello. Staying on site means you can set off on an adventure just a few steps from your room. A second parking lot is also available for van life enthusiasts.
A full fleet of electric fatbikes, models Spherik SEF4 and SEF6, is available for rent. These e-fatbikes make the trails even more accessible thanks to their pedal assistance, ideal for riding further, exploring more areas, and enjoying the scenery to the fullest, summer and winter alike.
