Route 317 is renowned for its agricultural and pastoral charm, ideal for lovers of local produce. Departing from Thurso, the only town in the Papineau MRC, famous for its forestry industries and its legendary native Guy Lafleur, this route offers a journey through picturesque landscapes and a rich tourist offering, including parks and bike paths, as well as Parc national de Plaisance.
Continuing on to Lochaber Township, a true agricultural gem, stop at Brylee Farm, where grass-fed beef has been raised for five generations. Also visit St Lap Farm, where you can enjoy delicious home-cooked meals and, during sugaring season, traditional sugar shack meals. Lochaber embodies the art of living in harmony with nature.
