Lake Croche, located just 14 km from Montpellier, is a peaceful natural outdoor destination, perfect for a getaway any time of year. Accessible via the Chemin de la Baie-de-l’Ours, this enchanting spot captivates visitors with its tranquility, untamed beauty, and versatility.
On site, a large wood-heated pavilion welcomes day visitors. Bring your own lunch, backpack, and a spirit of adventure. In the summer, fishing enthusiasts can enjoy a stocked lake, while hikers explore more than 30 km of trails, including a route to the Lac Mulet rest stop. Adventurous cyclists set off on mountain bikes or fat bikes along forest loops.
In winter, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, and ice fishing take center stage. Nearby, Lake Blais rounds out the offerings with its spectacular scenery and winds that are perfect for windsurfers. The lodge is also a popular meeting spot for ATV riders in the region.
