A spiritual and natural heritage to explore
Located behind Louis-Joseph Papineau High School, the Pères Montfortains trails offer a true immersion in nature, right in the heart of Papineauville. Originally laid out by the Montfort Fathers in the last century, they still retain a unique atmosphere where nature, history, and spirituality come together. The local flora is rich and diverse, inviting visitors to slow down and observe the beauty of the undergrowth.
Along the trail, you will come across the remains of a cave dedicated to the Virgin Mary, a place of contemplation that bears witness to the passage of religious figures and the spiritual importance they attached to this site. Access is completely free, and convenient parking is available at the community center, making it easy for visitors to arrive.
