An authentic winter experience at Duhamel
Every winter, Lac de la Ferme becomes a popular meeting place for ice-fishing enthusiasts. Located just two kilometers south of the village of Duhamel, the lake is accessible via the Tour du Lac road, and benefits from annual seeding thanks to the collaboration of the municipality, the Centre touristique du Lac-Simon and theACPTA (Petite Nation hunters, anglers, trappers and archers).
This is one of the few places in the region where you can fish for brook trout (speckled trout) in winter. A charming log cabin is available for warming up between catches.
Visit Centre touristique du Lac-Simon also offers an ice-fishing package available by reservation. This includes the drilling of five holes, five brimbales, a container of 18 worms and hot drinks for the return trip. Don't forget to bring your own folding chairs.
