To event and activity organizers
Make your events shine in Petite Nation
Are you organizing a tourism-related event? Take advantage of our visibility and promote it on our platforms!
Our events page has generated over 80,000 views in the past year, with an average visit duration of 1 minute and 5 seconds.
A great opportunity to promote your business to a wide audience!
Eligible events
To be posted on the website petitenationoutaouais.com and our social media channels, your event must have a tourism-related focus —that is, it must attract visitors, encourage travel, and showcase our region.
Ineligible events
Some activities are not eligible for tourism promotion, but may be promoted elsewhere:
Recurring recreational activities (e.g., weekly classes, monthly memberships)
Contact: clp.mrc@mrc-papineau.com
They will be posted on the Papineau Recreation Corporation.
Social events (e.g., benefit dinners)
Contact: varin@mrc-papineau.com
They will be posted on the Papineau Social Development Table.
Religious events
Unfortunately, our platforms do not support this type of content, as we are municipal organizations.
For effective distribution
- Create an event on your Facebook page, ideally at least two weeks before your event—the sooner, the better.
- Add Tourisme Petite Nation as a co-organizer or invite us to your event.
This will allow us to easily share it on our platforms.
💡 Invite your partners to do the same: they’ll be able to feature your event on their page!

A few tips for effective event branding
✅ To-do:
- Use a landscape format, ideally 1200 x 628 px.
- Choose an eye-catching, vibrant photo (such as an image from a previous edition).
- Keep the image simple: there’s no need to include the title, date, or time—these details will be visible in your event’s title or description.
- Include your logo discreetly.
For partners, mention them in a dedicated post or in the discussion thread. Don’t forget to tag them with @.
📌 Note: Your page must follow your partners’ pages in order to add them as co-organizers. - Use Canva, a free, easy-to-use tool for creating your visuals.
What happens next?
Once your event has been posted on Facebook:
- Invite your followers to participate via your page.
- Invite your friends using your personal profile to maximize your reach.
