For the attention of activity and event promoters
Make your events shine in Petite Nation
Are you organizing a tourism-related event? Take advantage of our visibility and promote it on our platforms!
Our events page generated over 80,000 views last year, with an average visit duration of 1 minute and 5 seconds.
A great opportunity to promote your business to a wide audience!
Eligible events
To be posted on the website petitenationoutaouais.com and our social media accounts, your event must have a tourist appeal —that is, it must spark visitors' interest, encourage travel, and showcase our region.
Ineligible events
Certain activities are not eligible for tourism promotion, but may be advertised elsewhere:
Recurring recreational activities (e.g., weekly classes, monthly memberships)
Contact: clp.mrc@mrc-papineau.com
They will be published on the Papineau Recreation Corporationpage.
Social events (e.g., benefit dinners)
Contact: varin@mrc-papineau.com
They will be posted on the Papineau Social Development Table page.
Religious events
Unfortunately, our platforms do not allow this type of distribution since we are municipal organizations.
For effective dissemination
- Create an event on your Facebook page.
- Add Tourisme Petite Nation as a co-organizer or invite us to your event.
This will allow us to easily share it on our platforms.
💡 Invite your partners to do the same: they will be able to post your event on their page!

Some tips for effective event imagery
✅ To do:
- Use a horizontal format, ideally 1200 x 628 px.
- Choose an eye-catching and lively photo (such as an image from a previous edition).
- Keep the image simple: there is no need to add the title, date, or time—these details will be visible in your event title or description.
For partners, mention them in a dedicated post or in the discussion thread. Don't forget to tag them with @.
📌 Note: your page must follow your partners' pages in order to add them as co-organizers.- Use Canva, a free, easy-to-use tool to create your visuals.
What next?
Once your event has been published on Facebook:
- Invite your followers to participate via your page.
- Invite your friends using your personal profile to maximize reach.
Good luck, and we look forward to promoting your event!
