Grounding

A collective artwork celebrating inclusion

Installed in the outdoor courtyard of the Atelier de formation socioprofessionnelle de la Petite-Nation, Mise à la terre is a public artwork created through a collective process led by artist Mélodie Coutou and the participants of the Atelier FSPN.

This creation highlights the strength of community, personal expression and the richness of differences. Through the artistic process, participants were able to explore their creativity, develop their autonomy and take part in a meaningful experience where everyone has a place.

Inspired by the underground networks that connect mushrooms and trees, the artwork evokes mutual support, interdependence and the invisible ties that bring a community together. Its trunk and branches recall the diversity of individual journeys, while its leaves symbolize the uniqueness of each person. The crow featured in the work represents creativity, collective intelligence and the ability to transform ideas into something alive.

Both sensitive and unifying, Mise à la terre invites visitors to take a caring look at art, inclusion and the power of human connection. It stands as a lasting tribute to collaboration, respect and collective well-being.
