Les Pommes perdues
Producing a unique cider from a readily available yet underutilized resource: wild apples
Cleared and settled relatively late, the Petite Nation region alternates between wooded hills and open spaces, where nature is slowly reclaiming land that was once used for agriculture.
Roadside verges, abandoned fields, and barn walls—all of these are ideal places for seeds scattered by wildlife to spread.
The Project Les pommes perdues aims to make the most of an underutilized natural resource to create a product that authentically and proudly reflects the terroir of our region: the Petite Nation.
Sometimes bitter, sometimes sour, and often bruised, wild apples can hardly compete with the beautiful, crisp apples we find at the grocery store…
But what should we do with it, then? Make some excellent cider, of course!
