Jean-Yves Guindon Studio and Gallery
Watercolour at the Heart of Landscape and Emotion
A recognized watercolour artist known for the sensitivity of his vision, Jean-Yves Guindon captures the beauty of bucolic scenes, rural landscapes and poetic places that surround him. His world, both soft and luminous, is shaped by imagination and emotion. Each work reflects a deep attachment to the land and a unique ability to make light come alive on paper.
The gallery-studio welcomes visitors to discover his recent creations in an intimate and inspiring setting. Two pavilions enhance the experience. One features a museum highlighting 42 years of the artist’s career, offering a journey through the evolution of his work over time. The other houses a boutique where greeting cards and art reproductions are available, perfect for extending your visit or taking home a poetic keepsake.
His talent and social involvement has earned him several tributes. He was awarded the Order of Gatineau and received an honorary doctorate from the Université du Québec en Outaouais. Futhermore, in 2019, the Government of Quebec honored him by awarding him the Medal of the National Assembly, and then in 2025, the Parliament of Canada recognized his 40-year artistic career by presenting him, the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
