When it comes to nature and Canadian wildlife, Omega Park is the place to be. Among the many privileges available to visitors, the observation of newborns and quality accommodations in the midst of the natural habitat of several species are two must-sees!
It's a well-known fact: animals reproduce in an environment where they feel safe and comfortable. From the outset, Parc Oméga has built its philosophy around this reality, providing vast open spaces for its gentle and beautiful residents! It's in these natural habitats that many generations are born.
"At Omega Park, the majority of births take place in spring. However, when the deer or elk are born in the woods, the mothers come down with their young. At the height of summer, in July and August, all the young are visible," explains Serge Lussier, Technical Director and spokesperson.
- Lussier believes that summer is an unforgettable time for visitors, as the cycle of life continues to fascinate young and old alike. "It's an extraordinary time to see all the baby animals. Whether it's the marcassins (the young of the wild boar), the white-tailed deer, the elk and also the cubs."
Accomodation
Speaking of wolves, you can appreciate their presence even more by opting for rustic accommodations at Parc Oméga. Choose from conical wi-tents with round patios, teepees and log cabins. Comfort guaranteed for families and friends!
A pack of wolves and their cubs can be seen from an elevated walkway," says Serge Lussier. This is exclusive to our guests staying at the park. We also do a special presentation every evening at 7 p.m. during the wolf dinner."
You have until mid-October to sleep safely next to a pack of wolves and hear them howl in the morning!
