The town of Plaisance stands out with its many major tourist attractions such as the Parc national de Plaisance, Plaisance Falls, the Maison des créateurs d’art populaire du Québec and the Country Music Festival.
Each spring, Plaisance offers an awesome display with the passing of thousands of migrating Canada geese. Come summer, ducks, herons, ospreys and dozens of other species settle in their habitat. It’s the sweet breeze of the Outaouais River rippling through the grasses of the Petite Presqu’île, near the camping, all part of life at the Parc national de Plaisance.
Plaisance Falls with a 63-metre drop are truly impressive. A lookout terrace, observation areas and a walking trail allow visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of this site.
Located in one of Plaisance’s splendid heritage buildings, the Maison des créateurs d’art populaire du Québec presents an array of exhibitions featuring past and contemporary Québec folk artists. Carvings, prints, paintings, all these works are filled with joy and cheerfulness so typical of this means of artistic expression.
