Le Café du Bistrot

Description

Much like a fine Bordeaux, the name “Le Café du Bistrot” is the result of a blend.

Before the creation of Le Café du Bistrot was a small restaurant known as “Café Valençay”. Its story was an inspiration for me and so, I chose to keep the word “Café” in my restaurant’s name.

For me, Le Café du Bistrot reads “Le Café du marchand de vin” or the wine merchant’s café. In French, bistro with a “T” designated a wine seller’s shop. In addition “Bistro” refers to the restaurant where I first embarked on my career as chef.

Consequently, the words “bistro” and “marchand” often pop up in the menu.
