After years of learning, personal and professional experiences, and memorable moments spent on a paddleboard, she created Échappée Bleue, a world that focuses on autonomy, safety and respect for nature.

In this unique setting, winter paddleboarding becomes more than just a sport: it's an opportunity to reconnect with yourself while exploring the icy beauty of the Petite Nation River.

A magical winter experience in Ripon

Ripon is the perfect place for ice SUP. Thanks to the gentle currents of the Petite Nation River, certain sections of the water remain clear even in winter, creating the perfect terrain for this unusual activity.

The experience begins in a heated area where you are welcomed by theÉchappée Bleue team. All the necessary equipment is provided: board, paddle, dry suit, neoprene booties, and even a hot drink to round off the adventure. After a dynamic warm-up, you take to the water, ready for a unique experience.

Imagine gliding peacefully through a landscape where ice and snow meet. The frosted trees stand as silent sentinels, and each stroke of the paddle brings you a little closer to serenity. Even if the cold stings your cheeks slightly, the dry suit and warm clothes keep you comfortable throughout.

Who is this activity for?

Whether you're a paddleboard enthusiast looking for something new, or an outdoor enthusiast looking for a winter challenge, this is the experience for you. It combines sport, immersion in nature and the discovery of new sensations.

To participate, you must :

• Have basic paddleboarding experience (know how to stand on a board, paddle in a straight line, turn and get back on the board in the event of a fall);
• Be able to swim a few metres (for safety reasons);
• Be at least 15 years old (minors must be accompanied by an adult);
• Report any special health conditions by filling in a form before the activity.

Practical details

• Total duration: 3 hours (including welcome, preparation, warm-up, excursion and return).
• Availability: Saturdays and Sundays between January 18 and March 16, 2025, with departures at 9am and 1pm. Additional availability for groups on request.
• Location: Ripon. The exact address will be sent by e-mail 72 hours before the activity.
• Includes: All equipment, an experienced guide and a comforting hot drink.
• What to bring :
  • Hat, gloves and neck warmer;
  • Layers of warm clothing (leggings, wool sweater, wool socks).
