Born in Montreal in 1947, Louise Falstrault is a self-taught artist who painted her first canvases at the age of twelve, after her father gave her a set of tubes and brushes because she had won a gouache prize at school.
For more than 45 years, she has lived in Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix, in the Petite-Nation, in the Outaouais. It can go from a reassuring visual, from a terrestrial and inhabited world to the infinite world of the imaginary, of the invisible.
She paints both oil with a spatula and acrylic with a brush. She also explores other techniques such as sculpture.
